In May 2020, Apple introduced a higher-end Magic Keyboard for iPad, made available as a premium alternative to the Smart Keyboard Folio. It is powered by the magnetic Smart Connector and does not require batteries. The Smart Keyboard Folio supersedes the previous Smart Keyboard for newer generation iPad Pros and iPad Airs, and was introduced in November 2018. The Smart Keyboard started at a price of 169 USD, but eventually received a price drop to 159 USD. To hide the keyboard again, tap the keyboard symbol in the lower-right corner. The Smart Keyboard received positive reviews, but was criticized for its high price. Tap the down arrow key on your Smart Keyboard Then, press and hold the on-screen arrow until the software keyboard appears Toggle the downward arrow a few times and see if it solves your issue otherwise, you may have to try and Reset All Settings as shown above. Instead, it is powered by the magnetic Smart Connector, a port included on the iPad Pro, as well as several iPad and iPad Air models. Measuring 4 mm, the Smart Keyboard does not include external wires or Bluetooth, and does not contain batteries that would need to be charged. It features keys covered in woven fabric, that is resistant to water and other liquids. Introduced in November 2015, the Smart Keyboard resembles a MacBook keyboard that has been built into a Smart Cover, allowing it to serve as both a cover for the display, a stand, and a physical keyboard. Same issue with my Logitech Slim Folio keyboard on my 2018. iOS 13 is slated to be released on 9/24 I believe. All other keys work fine, but the space bar does not function at all when typing (posts, comments, etc) in Apollo. The cover was redesigned and renamed to Smart Keyboard Folio, for the iPad Pro (3rd generation) and later, and iPad Air (4th generation) and later. As stated, working on an iPad Pro 11 (2018) with the Apple Smart Folio keyboard. The Smart Keyboard is a hardware keyboard and cover designed by Apple for the iPad Pro (1st generation) and 2nd generation, iPad Air (3rd generation), and iPad (7th generation) and later. Not to be confused with Magic Keyboard for iPad.
